To kick off the festivities, we will host a pizza night in Simon's Bar, Emily Moon. Come along to get to know each other, soak up the beautiful surroundings and set the tone for a wonderful weekend ahead. Dress code: summery smart-casual i.e. sundresses, shorts or jeans & a nice top.Â

Guests are welcome to arrive at Emily Moon River Lodge from 2:30pm and enjoy a welcome drink ahead of the ceremony. Please be seated by 3:15pm

We will exchange vows overlooking the breathtaking Bitou on the Emily Moon's Riverdeck. Remember your sunnies & sunblock!
Canapés & Photos
We've curated a gorgeous selection of canapés to be enjoyed while taking in the scenery. This is also the chance to get those golden hour photos in.
Reception
The party starts! Dinner, drinks, and dancing. There will be a bar tab for beers, ciders, wine and selected liquor. A cash bar will be available. A shuttle will be available to lift guests back to central Plettenberg Bay from 11pm.

Our Story
Joburg Day 2015
Many of you will know us as high-school sweethearts. What you might not know is that we went to the same primary school. Which means we actually met when we were 6! Not that we ever spoke (because, cooties)

At 14, Keegs slid into Katie's Facebook DMs to send a harmless Happy Birthday message. Nothing to take note of. At 16, we ran into each other at a music festival and numbers were exchanged. Keegs successfully made it out of the DMs. It wasn't long after that we had our first date. (We watched The Hobbit, so I guess you could say Kate was keen).Â
By 17, we were official.

Needless to say, neither of us are the same people we were at 17. We'll always be grateful for giving each other space to change & grow. To find ourselves within and outside our relationship. And it truly has been one of the most beautiful things to get to know different versions of each other, and fall in love with them again and again.Â

The latest version, is of course the the "living in Ireland" version. We've swapped out the warm Mozambican sea with the baltic Irish ocean. We've spent weekends (and many Mondays!) going to gigs, pubs, finding sanity through saunas, cold plunges, & scenic half marathons. Not to mention, raising the two most spoilt cats the world has ever known.

If you ask Katie about Keegs she will say he is the calm in every storm, the quickest to make her laugh, and the person who reminds her never to take life too seriously.

If you ask Keegs about Katie, he'll say she's infectiously charasmatic with an ability to light up every room and brimming with love in a world where kindness is hard to come by.

We want our guests looking and feeling their best and envision a "garden party glam" aesthetic. The ceremony & canapes will be outdoors, hopefully in the warm autumnal sun. The reception will take place in an airy indoor room.

For ladies: midi or maxi dresses, skirts or suits, flowy & fun sihlouettes. Patterns, textures, colours encouraged. No white. Please be mindful that very light satin dresses can photograph white.
For men: suit or chinos, light fabrics, linen, button down shirt, blazer. Ties optional. No jeans.

Our wedding party and close family will be staying at Emily Moon River Lodge. We kindly ask all other guests to arrange their own accommodation.

Note that our wedding is over a South African long weekend, so we suggest booking sooner rather than later. Some options here:
Getting Around
Getting Here
The easiest is to fly into George Airport which is about 100 km away from Plettenberg Bay. From there, you can hire a car or take a shuttle to get to your accommodation.

If you're driving, Plett is accessible anywhere in South Africa using the N2 highway. It takes about 6 hours to drive from Cape Town and 2.5 hours from Port Elizabeth - both beautiful road trips. From Johannesburg, you're looking at about 13.5 hours driving time.
Getting Around by Car
Driving in Plett is straightforward. Most locations are within a 10-15 minute drive.Â

Parking at Emily Moon is plentiful and secure. However, if you're planning to drink, please Uber or shuttle to Emily Moon. We have a complimentary shuttle to take you home.

If you're planning on extending your trip along the Garden Route, we'd highly recommend hiring a car for your stay.

My parents are truly a yin and yang couple, total opposites! That means I've had the benefit of learning a lot from each of them. Optimism & efficiency from my dad, creative expression & endless compassion from my mom. Where they overlap is their enduring love & support of their children. We've had so many special holidays together, Mozambique, the Trout Farm, and Ballito will always be our favourites! We're eternally grateful to have them here to celebrate with us.

My dad has spent many years on the side of the sports field dishing out affectionate nicknames such as ‘Agnus’ and ‘knob’. He has always been a go to for advice and a glass of wine and has shaped me into the man I am today (you can blame him or thank him for that). As for Kari...to be a mother to 3 Sullivan boys, to put it simply, means she is a saint. From being told "Keegan I will kill you" to spending epic holidays abroad, she has been the best mother through it all.

The best way to describe Gran is the matriarch of the family. Walking off a knee replacement like she'd merely stubbed her toe, makes her one of the toughest around. Not only is she incredibly strong, she is so full of love and support. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for her family. I am so blessed to have grown up with a gran who has always been there for her grandchildren, and we are both so blessed to have her celebrating with us today.

I truly couldn't imagine my life without Lau. She has made it so much brighter & fuller in every way possible. One of my favourite chapters was living together in varsity back in 2019. I got to be aunty to her beloved bunnies, we sang opera covers of Sia in harmony, she was a guinea pig for all my campus yoga classes, and we perfected Jamie Oliver's 15-minute lentil dahl. I watched her chase her dream of being a vet, while she watched me figure out who I wanted to become. It means the world to have her by my side for this special journey.

From garden cricket to table tennis, Jason has always been a good sport losing to his little brother... The first phone call when in trouble, Jas has always been a big brother who has had my back. (A fair warning for the guests, when he drinks too much he likes to pretend he is a doctor).

Zoom never takes shit from anyone, especially not Jason (or Keegan's!). She's taught me so much about standing up for what's right, being fiercely loyal and loving deeply. She's also taught me all I know about Exploding Kittens & how to rock the Cone of Shame. I'm so lucky to her as my sister & by my side on this special day.Â

Growing up Matty and I constantly fought over the remote, and I fiercely defended the decoder from him like my life depended on it. But where we saw eye to eye was our hatred of flu shots - and every winter, we'd hide in the garden together. When we got to our teens, my academics took a bit of a dip, which has a stark correlation to Matt introducing me to his beloved rum... Matt has been there through my most treasured childhood memories and I wouldn't change that for the world (even if it cost me a few IQ points).

To be loved by Kelly is to have someone who will go to the ends of the earth for you. Or, if you're Keegs, to have someone go the ends of Eagle Canyon scouring the rough for stray golf balls. Her plate is never to full to make sure you feel loved, and she is often the first one to instigate birthday plans. She is somehow both the most brutally honest and the kindest person you'll ever meet, and myself and Keegs are so lucky to have her as a sister.

Don & I have rarely lived in the same city as each other, but that has never taken away from our special bond. For starters, I feel like I can be my weirdest, silliest self with her. We've shared so many belly laughs together (even on the brink of drowning - sorry about that, Don!). And, as a kid, visiting her in Durban was always the best type of holiday - feasting on her delicious treats, going to the beach, cinema, playing PlayStation & trying to keep up with her Comrades training.

The big dog himself, mr worldwide, MC extraordinaire, Craig. He's been a massive grounding presence throughout my life, and also brought a wonderful sense of adventure to my childhood. I'll never forget our ski trips together, especially being farted on in enclosed ski lifts (we'll call it character development!)

As for Shel, it feels wrong to even refer to her as 'in-law'. She's been in my life since I was 4, so she is practically blood. And she's been there for me through some of the hardest chapters. A walk, cry, chat, yoga class, coffee, advice or just a hug... she always knows how to set things right.Â

To know Phumi is to know sunshine. He will always go the extra mile to make anyone feel seen and understood. But if he loves you, he will drag you. So when he teased me about my 'short shorts' that I'd wear to Psychology lectures, I knew we were gonna be friends. From studying together at GIBS, to starting our careers at the same consulting firm together, to making an escape to the same ad agency - we've been through the trenches! I hate that we can't talk nonsense & log it to our timesheets anymore, but I love that a deep and enduring friendship has come from it all.Â

When I first moved into res at TuksVillage, Liv instantly became one of my best friends. To this day, some of the best nights of my life were spent partying together in Hatfield. I still remember suffering through full days of lectures on a Friday, surviving on Energade and slap chips. Some may say that my first year BSc was a waste (sorry, parents!), but it brought me to one of the most compassionate, fun, and supportive friends in the world.Â

Our Delta Park walks look a little different these days, but they still happen - even though I'm over the phone in Sutton. I'm forever grateful that no matter where in the world I am, Holly is always by my side.Â

Nick has been there for some epic memories and is always up for an adventure. Having known each other from St Stithians, our friendship only grew stronger in university with a simple question ‘Sully lets learn how to play golf?’. From bars, night clubs, law lectures, and golf courses, Nick has always been a true and loyal friend.

I met Banz in university, although very few of our memories come from lecture halls. Rather, our best times together were playing FIFA till 3am, grabbing a well-deserved post-lecture 10am beer from Springboks, listening to Ocean Alley, and arguing about football. Banz has always been a legendary friend!

Walking into an all-boys school as a 14-year-old, not knowing a single person was incredibly daunting - until a loud, friendly introduction from Archie himself settled the nerves. Fast forward 15 years, and Arch is still one of the best and most loyal friends I could ask for. They say adversity makes bonds grow stronger and with more than one 50+ score against us on the rugby field … It's safe to say our bond grew pretty strong.
